Lisa Hasan is an interdisciplinary PhD candidate at the Université of Montréal. She is studying how politics shape building sector decarbonization in Canada. Her research is funded by the Fonds de Recherche du Québec Société et Culture and the Fayolle-Magil Construction Research Chair in Architecture, the Built Environment and Sustainability. Lisa’s research is informed by fifteen years of practice as an architect working for private firms and municipal government. She is an active and long-standing member of the national model building code committees on Energy Efficiency and Housing and Small Buildings.
